Privacy policy
This page says what we collect when you use our free tools or buy a report, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
This site is run by Strategy to Impact (Katya Ellis). We collect and look after your information. You can reach us at hello@strategytoimpact.com.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Your answers to The Lowest Hanging Fruit quiz.
- For the online presence scan: your business name, website and location, and the public information we find about your business online.
- The results and reports we make for you.
- Whether you have paid for a report. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- A one-way hash of your IP address when you run a scan. We use it to limit how many free scans one person can run in a day. We can’t turn the hash back into your IP address.
- How you use the site (pages visited, buttons clicked), through PostHog analytics.
Why we collect it
- To show you your results and write your reports.
- To send you your paid report by email.
- To send you marketing emails, including tips and offers, when you have agreed to that by ticking the box.
- To tell you when free scans are open again, if you joined the waitlist.
- To keep the free tools fair and to see how they are used so we can improve them.
Who else handles your information
We use other companies to run the site. They only get what they need to do their job.
- Stripe takes your payment.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Anthropic’s AI reads your quiz answers or your business details to write your scan results and reports.
- PostHog records how people use the site. Its session replays mask what you type into forms, so your email address and answers are not recorded.
- Netlify hosts the site, and a secure cloud database stores your information.
Some of these companies store data outside Australia, so your information may be held overseas. We don’t sell your information.
Unsubscribe, access and deletion
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by replying to one with the word unsubscribe, or by emailing hello@strategytoimpact.com. You can also email us to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will reply as soon as we can.
The law
We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We send marketing emails under the Spam Act 2003, which means we only email you with your consent and every marketing email has a way to unsubscribe.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information and we haven’t fixed it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
